10 Things I Quit to Become the Healthiest I’ve Ever Been
At 38, I can honestly say I feel stronger, more energised, and more grounded than I ever did in my 20s or early 30s — and it’s not because of a fancy biohack or some trendy detox tea. It’s because I started letting go of the things that were holding me back.
In this video, I’m sharing the 10 things I quit (plus a bonus #11!) that helped me radically transform my health — physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually. These are simple shifts that made a huge difference.

🌿 Here’s What I Quit:
1. Bottomless Brunches in Dubai
Fun? Yes. But also draining and toxic when they became my every weekend default. I swapped bottomless mimosas for beach walks and hikes — and never looked back.
2. Sleeping Late
When I fixed my sleep, everything changed. I used the Freedom app to stop scrolling at night and added a bedtime reminder that changed my rhythm.
3. Working Out Because I “Had To”
I ditched punishing workouts (hello, CrossFit peer pressure) and embraced joyful movement instead. Now, I move because I want to, not because I feel like I should.
4. Skipping Breakfast
Starting my day with coffee used to leave me feeling empty and anxious. I brought breakfast back — and so did my energy.
5. Caffeine First Thing
At one point, I was on 8 coffees a day. After a life-changing Vipassana retreat, I ditched the dependency and gave my nervous system a real break.
6. Hanging Out with Toxic People
Energy doesn’t lie. I became more selective about who I spent time with — and the right people started showing up.
7. The Addiction to Being “Busy”
I stopped wearing “busy” as a badge of honour. Now, I value peace and productivity over hustle.
8. Feeling Guilty for Saying No
Saying yes to others often meant saying no to myself. I flipped the script and reclaimed my time and energy.
9. Alcohol (Mostly)
I didn’t go fully sober, but I drastically reduced it and now opt for natural wines without sulfates. My body (and sleep tracker) thanked me.
10. My Corporate Job
Yep, I left the corporate world after 20+ years. The stress, the burnout — it wasn’t aligned anymore. Becoming a Holistic Health Coach was the best decision I’ve made.
BONUS #11: Dieting
After 15 years of restriction, I chose to love my body instead. No more calorie counting. Just nourishment, balance, and self-respect.
